"Winter" Activities

This winter was definitely a mild one in Denver...70 degrees in January! It's been fun to explore Denver and the mountains and the warm weather definitely made that easier this winter! Here are some pictures from things we did this winter...

Brandon organized a ski trip with people from his
Young Adult Ministry. I wasn't brave enough to try to ski
down a mountain, but he did great!
We bought a second car in January to make it possible
for Brandon to get to church to work on stuff for his
internship. Thankful that God provided money for us
to be able to buy it!
We went hiking at Roxborough State Park with our
friends Courtney and Tyler.
The park is pretty close to where we live!

Told you it was warm in January.
I taught with Courtney this past year and it's been so
much fun getting to know her and Tyler better!

We also went to an Avalanche hockey game. It was
a lot of fun!

Home for the Holidays

I know, I know...it's been about six months since I've posted anything on our blog. It's been a busy few months! The plan is just to pick up where I left off and update our blog from the last few months. We were fortunate to be able to go home to Indiana and Wisconsin to visit our families for two weeks for Christmas (thanks, Dad!). One perk of teaching in Colorado is two full weeks off of school for Christmas (a little longer than in Wisconsin!) and Brandon gets a few weeks off in between semesters, so it worked out great! Here are some pictures from our trip!

We had an ugly sweater contest with all of the "kids"
at Christmas. This is Stephanie, Eric, Brandon, and I
showing off our beautiful finds.
All of our sweaters
Brandon got second place and his cousin Ethan
got first place.
We climbed to the top of the leg at Tony's farm. This
is Tyler and Brandon at the top.
We made it!
We loved getting to see our nice Aaliyah!
One of the rare moments when she actually
let Brandon play with her. :)

We all went tobogganing one day!

She wasn't quite sure what to think of Brandon's beard.

We had a gingerbread building contest with my family
in Wisconsin. Marlo and I made the Castle of Love.
Brandon and Sophia made a homeless shelter.....
Mike and my Mom made a fancy gingerbread house.
Sophia found the pickle this year!
Brandon and his girlfriend
We discovered that Twister is way more than we
remembered....we played with both of our families.

Happy New Year!
Saying bye to my dad.

We had so much fun seeing everyone and are so thankful for our families!
